RPR Prolotherapy and Prolozone Injections

Which is better Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Prolotherapy?

Both PRP and Dextrose Prolotherapy have been shown to stimulate natural healing.  However, new evidence suggests that combining the two might be more effective.  Cases where tissue and joint degeneration has occurred, there is the presence of osteoarthritis, or the problem is more chronic and has demonstrated to be a suitable option to use both therapies.

Joints where Prolotherapy has demonstrated effectiveness:

Any musculoskeletal painPlantar Fasciitis
Arthritic jointsSacroiliac joints
Back and neck pain – with degenerative disc diseaseShoulder pain
Back and neck pain – without degenerative disc diseaseShoulder pain from rotator cuff injuries
Carpal TunnelSports injuries
Knee jointsSprains and strains
Osteoarthritis – hips, knees, and spineTennis Elbow

Prolozone Injections: It is a non-surgical procedure to eliminate or drastically reduce pain by utilizing the body’s natural ability to heal itself by combining the principles of Neural Therapy, Prolotherapy and Ozone Therapy. Prolozone is based on the Latin word “prolix” which means: to proliferate, regenerate and rebuild and it earned its name because the treatment involves the injection of ozone in and around ligaments where they attach to the bone to cause the regeneration of new ligament and cartilage tissue in an area where they have weakened. A combination of solutions is injected:

  • Procaine
  • Anti-inflammatory medications
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Proliferative
  • Ozone / Oxygen(O2) gas

This combination is injected into degenerative joints and pain points.
