Millennials

Millennials have earned a reputation for being selfish, lazy, and disloyal, making them easy for companies to dismiss. In healthcare, they can be entirely forgotten.

NOT at Quality Health Care & Wellness Institute. We welcome you and look forward to becoming your doctor.
At QHC we recognize that the needs and requirements of millennials is different from other generations. However, the importance of establishing yourself with a Primary Care Physician now that will have all of your medical records in one location is significant for many reasons. It saves you time and the need to go to multiple doctors’ offices and not having your complete medical history available. It is also one of your best defenses for having a life threatening disease to be detected before it becomes an issue.

What we know is this:
• In 2016 millennials were billed as a healthy population.
• In 2017 USA Today reported that Colorectal cancers have increased dramatically and steadily in millennials.
• Someone born in 1990 has double the risk of early colon cancer and quadruple the risk of early rectal cancer as someone born in 1950.

This data should “really raise the alarm,” said Dr. Thomas Weber, surgical oncologist and professor at State University of New York Downstate Medical Institute.

Obesity, poor diets and inactivity are major factors in this disease.
